Together with Ethiopia\u2019s Federal Ministry of Health and Stanford\u2019s Program for International Reproductive Education and Services, we improved care for a very treatable condition, cervical pre-cancer, if diagnosed early.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Project Activities<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignfull has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Introduced the single-visit approach that allows providers to detect cervical precancerous lesions and offer treatment on the same day in 14 tertiary- and secondary-level health facilities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborated with key government health leaders and hospital staff at all levels, leading to an expansion from 14 pilot facilities to 118 hospitals.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Promoted community awareness of cervical cancer and prevention through the development of information, education, and communication materials.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Partnered with the Ministry of Health and key stakeholders to develop the \u201cGuidelines for Cervical Cancer Prevention and Control in Ethiopia\u201d that integrates the single-visit approach into the national reproductive health strategy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":921,"template":"","class_list":["post-920","projects","type-projects","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects\/920","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/projects"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/921"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=920"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
