{"id":797,"date":"2022-12-30T14:32:08","date_gmt":"2022-12-30T14:32:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pathfinder.local\/?post_type=projects&#038;p=797"},"modified":"2023-04-19T12:56:43","modified_gmt":"2023-04-19T16:56:43","slug":"naya-qadam","status":"publish","type":"projects","link":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/projects\/naya-qadam\/","title":{"rendered":"Naya Qadam"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-2-xl-font-size\">In Pakistan\u2019s Punjab and Sindh provinces, Naya Qadam reaches thousands of young women ages 15 to 24 at a critical time\u2014after a pregnancy\u2014and gives them the power to decide if or when they want to become pregnant again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Project Activities<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignfull has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Trained health providers to offer a full range of contraceptive methods\u2014including postpartum and post-abortion intrauterine devices and implants.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trained health providers and Lady Health Workers to administer the injectable contraceptive Sayana\u00ae Press.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trained Lady Health Workers, community midwives, and Lady Health Volunteers to counsel on and refer for postpartum and post-abortion family planning services.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Revised pre-service health training curricula to focus on family planning, and specifically, postpartum family planning.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Trained midwifery tutors in family planning and equip midwifery schools with family planning skills labs for students.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sensitized health providers on gender-based determinants of family planning and adolescent and youth sexual and reproductive health and address provider bias.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Strengthened health systems to ensure the public and private sectors offer quality, integrated services, and that health facilities are equipped with essential supplies and commodities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engaged youth and male champions to generate acceptance of and demand for these services.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":980,"template":"","class_list":["post-797","projects","type-projects","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects\/797","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/projects"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/980"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=797"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
