{"id":7717,"date":"2025-04-07T10:27:25","date_gmt":"2025-04-07T14:27:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/?post_type=publications&#038;p=7717"},"modified":"2025-04-25T09:27:40","modified_gmt":"2025-04-25T13:27:40","slug":"ay-climate-leadership-bangladesh","status":"publish","type":"publications","link":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/publications\/ay-climate-leadership-bangladesh\/","title":{"rendered":"Advancing Climate Leadership Among Adolescents in Bangladesh"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Pathfinder International, with generous support from the Takeda Global CSR, is implementing the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/projects\/advancing-the-leadership-of-women-and-girls-towards-better-health-and-climate-change-resilience\/\">Advancing the Leadership of Women and Girls Toward Better Health and Climate Change Resilience<\/a> project in Bangladesh and Pakistan from 2022 to 2025. In Bangladesh, this project, often referred to as &#8220;Dishari,&#8221; is implemented in Sylhet, Sunamganj, Netrokona, Kishoreganj and Cox\u2019s Bazar districts to strengthen health systems, enhance women&#8217;s and young people\u2019s leadership, and improve community resilience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To achieve these goals, the project promotes youth-led and community action for improving livelihood options; building resilient health systems; managing health risks associated with climate change by supporting sexual and reproductive health services; improving food and nutritional practices; ensuring access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene facilities; and eliminating gender-based violence. A number of schools were engaged to ensure adolescents&#8217; awareness and participation in climate conversations and actions. This brief outlines the program&#8217;s school-based intervention in Bangladesh.
