{"id":7452,"date":"2024-12-19T15:40:48","date_gmt":"2024-12-19T20:40:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/?post_type=projects&#038;p=7452"},"modified":"2026-02-17T12:03:12","modified_gmt":"2026-02-17T17:03:12","slug":"improving-leadership-and-employability-among-underserved-populations-in-jordan","status":"publish","type":"projects","link":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/projects\/improving-leadership-and-employability-among-underserved-populations-in-jordan\/","title":{"rendered":"Improving Leadership and Employability Among Underserved Populations in Jordan"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Almost one-third of Jordan\u2019s population is aged 16\u201330, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.unicef.org\/jordan\/media\/9156\/file\/Policy%20Brief-%20Barriers%20to%20Economic%20Participation%20for%20young%20People%20in%20Jordan-English.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">but only 26% are employed.<\/a> Young people in Jordan face increased barriers to economic participation, including lack of formal job opportunities, a gap between job seekers\u2019 skills and employers&#8217; needs, and lack of social safety nets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With a focus on environmentally sustainable economic growth and social inclusivity, the project addresses these barriers through innovative education, capacity strengthening, and career preparedness activities for young people, women, and refugees. By fostering resilience and increased economic agency within Jordan\u2019s underserved populations, more people can contribute to their communities, improve their economic prospects, and live healthier lives.
