Pathfinder works to ensure that all Ethiopians have the ability to exercise their sexual and reproductive rights. Pathfinder has a long history of partnering with the government to bring quality health care services to millions of people in urgent need. Pathfinder has strengthened the health system at all levels and trained the health workforce so that they can deliver quality, holistic care\u2014for sexual and reproductive health, maternal and newborn health, contraception, and cervical cancer prevention. This work includes strengthening key systems and the quality of services to be equitable and responsive to the unique needs of adolescent, youth, women, girls, and those with special needs\u2014including within the health, education, livelihoods, and child protection sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pathfinder supports those who are most marginalized from care, such as young people, and gender-based violence and obstetric fistula survivors. We work across multiple sectors and at individual, community, and systems levels to empower adolescent girls and mobilize communities, addressing the barriers that so often prevent people from accessing health care, such as gender inequality and poverty.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pathfinder builds the skills of local health workers and government officials so that our impact continues long after our support ends. Pathfinder\u2019s systems-level support, for example, expanded access to\u00a0community-based health insurance and led to the scale-up of youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health care across the country. Pathfinder also supports health facilities to restore or continue provision of services during emergencies, including emergency response, stabilization, and development.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
