The project advocates for women&#8217;s reproductive freedom, resulting in women\u2019s greater personal and financial independence, food and nutrition security among families, and reduced stress on local ecosystems and resources. The project specifically supports health clinics to become green by using solar energy and training staff on green practices, such as green waste disposal and water conservation measures. The project\u2019s multisectoral \u201cone health\u201d approach helps service providers combat potential health risks from climate change, emphasizing the interconnection between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment to achieve optimal health outcomes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-2-xl-font-size\">Pathfinder will be working with women to become \u201cAmbassadors of Change.\u201d The women will learn how to reduce their carbon footprint and impact the environment by leading green community initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-left\">Project Activities<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignfull has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Adapt health facilities to be more environmentally friendly by equipping them with solar panels, green waste disposal methods, and water conservation measures<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Train health care providers to combat climate change health risks and mobilize communities to act against climate change under the leadership of local women who are \u201cAmbassadors of Change\u201d<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sensitize households in targeted districts to the health effects of climate change, train women on recyclable crafts they can sell to earn an income and educate women and communities on reducing their carbon footprint<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":8179,"template":"","class_list":["post-5082","projects","type-projects","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry"],"acf":[],"_links":{"self":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects\/5082","targetHints":{"allow":["GET"]}}],"collection":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/projects"}],"about":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/types\/projects"}],"wp:featuredmedia":[{"embeddable":true,"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media\/8179"}],"wp:attachment":[{"href":"https:\/\/www.pathfinder.org\/wp-json\/wp\/v2\/media?parent=5082"}],"curies":[{"name":"wp","href":"https:\/\/api.w.org\/{rel}","templated":true}]}}
